The Northern Peninsula of The Merkhwald Kingdom was disputed territory.
The locals have declared independence, but have only recently been granted such rights by The Crown.
This led to decades of fighting, and the establishment of a now-legitimate government by the Northerners in the NoGo Forest.

There is currently a tenuous peace due to the current threat from Alric Merkhwald.

Their Current Demands for continuing peace are:
1. Recognition as an Independent Nation.  (MET)
2. Sovereignty of all lands extending from the Northern Peninsula over to Northernthorp, down along Trixie Wood to the coast. (MET)
3. Cease all hostilities immediately. (MET)
4. Return all Northern POWs. (MET)
5. Fee paid to families of all fallen soldiers. (MET)
