Zlagorad
The seaside city of Zlagorad is one of the oldest human settlements in Giatera. Originally founded as a simple fishing village devoted to the Goddess Umberlee, it quickly grew as the fish trade expanded, and it's location became an important strategic port for both Navies and Merchants alike.
Now home to over 30,000 citizens, Zlagorad serves as not only a major trade hub for the Eclen Empire, but is the heart of the Royal Eclen Navy.
Anyone hoping to become a Eclen Royal Sailor must attend the Primary Navy Training Academy to train under the watchful eye of Grand Admiral Vasilyevich Kolchak. Those who survive and meet standards are then sworn in as Royal Sailors, and assigned to either a port station or a ship.
The Royal Eclen Navy is continually replacing and upgrading ships, but maintains a fleet of approximately 350. Recently, a new model of ship has been spotted coming and going from the Naval Shipyards of Zlagorad. If rumors are to be believed, some eyewitnesses claim the ship is made out of steel instead of wood.
